Terms of Service

Effective date: July 1, 2026

1. Agreement to Terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Voxera platform at voxera.us and app.voxera.us (the "Service"), operated by Voxera ("we", "us"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.

2. The Service

Voxera is an AI-powered research platform that helps you design research studies, conduct automated voice interviews with participants, and generate insights, reports, and other artifacts from interview transcripts. The Service uses third-party AI models and voice technology to conduct interviews and analyze responses.

3. Accounts

  • You must provide accurate information when creating an account and keep your credentials secure. You are responsible for all activity under your account.
  • You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract to use the Service.
  • We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or that we reasonably believe are abusive, fraudulent, or harmful to the Service or others.

4. Your Responsibilities as a Researcher

When you use Voxera to interview participants, you are the controller of that research relationship. You agree to:

  • Obtain all consents required by applicable law from interview participants before their interviews, including consent to recording, transcription, and AI-assisted analysis.
  • Not use the Service to collect data from minors, or to collect sensitive personal data (health, financial account, government ID numbers) unless you have a lawful basis and explicit consent.
  • Comply with the rules of any recruitment platform you connect (e.g., Prolific, Respondent) and compensate participants as promised.
  • Use interview data only for legitimate research purposes and honor deletion requests from your participants.

5. Acceptable Use

You will not:

  • Use the Service to harass, deceive, or harm interview participants or impersonate a human interviewer where disclosure of AI use is required by law;
  • Reverse engineer, scrape, or programmatically access the Service except through interfaces we provide;
  • Attempt to circumvent usage limits, credit charges, or security controls;
  • Upload content that infringes third-party rights or violates applicable law;
  • Resell or white-label the Service without our written agreement.

6. Credits, Billing, and Payment

  • The Service operates on prepaid credits. Credit prices and the credit cost of each action are shown in the product before you are charged.
  • Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store your card details.
  • Credits are non-refundable except where required by law or where we fail to deliver a purchased action (failed actions are automatically refunded to your credit balance).
  • Credit balances have no cash value and are non-transferable.

7. Your Content and Data Ownership

You own your research data: study plans, interview recordings, transcripts, and the insights and artifacts generated from them ("Customer Content"). You grant us a limited license to host, process, and transmit Customer Content solely to provide and improve the Service. We do not use your Customer Content to train our own or third-party foundation models.

8. AI-Generated Output

The Service uses large language models to conduct interviews and generate summaries, insights, charts, and reports. AI output can contain errors or omissions despite the grounding safeguards we apply. You are responsible for reviewing AI-generated output before relying on it or sharing it. AI output is provided "as is" and does not constitute professional advice.

9. Third-Party Services

The Service depends on third-party providers, including voice AI (ElevenLabs), language models (Anthropic), hosting (Vercel, Neon), payments (Stripe), email (Resend), and optional recruitment platforms. Your use of those integrations is also subject to the applicable third party's terms.

10. Intellectual Property

We own the Service, including its software, design, and branding. These Terms do not grant you any rights to our intellectual property except the limited right to use the Service.

11. Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time from Settings. Upon account deletion, your Customer Content is deleted as described in our Privacy Policy. We may terminate or suspend access for violation of these Terms with notice where practicable. Unused credits are forfeited on termination for cause.

12. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR THAT AI OUTPUT WILL BE ACCURATE OR COMPLETE.

13. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL. OUR AGGREGATE LIABILITY ARISING OUT OF THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM AROSE.

14. Indemnification

You will indemnify and hold us harmless from claims arising out of your Customer Content, your research activities (including failure to obtain participant consent), or your violation of these Terms or applicable law.

15. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If changes are material, we will notify you by email or in-product notice before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
